Update 8 - Updated models

Chairs, tables and people are now drawn from real models at their real sizes, so the room on screen is the room the measurements describe. Lecterns are new, with a presenter you can switch on to see the floor a speaker actually takes.

Update 7 - Room layouts, and a choice of furniture

Boardroom, U-shape, Classroom, Theatre and Huddle sit at the top of the Furniture tab and furnish the whole room in one press, leaving your people, displays and doors alone. There is a choice of furniture to go in it: seven table shapes from rectangular through oval, boat and horseshoe to a classroom desk or a coffee table, and six kinds of chair from a conference seat to an auditorium row, a stool or soft seating — each with its own real footprint and seat height. Chairs follow whichever table shape you pick, round the curve of an oval or along the outside of a U, and you can add as many tables as you like without one disturbing another's seats.

Update 6 - A tidier designer

The editor has been streamlined. Every setting now lives in one panel on the right, split into Room, Table, Displays, People and Extras tabs, so you are never scrolling past four sections to reach the doors and windows. The two toolbars across the top have become a single row, with the view, unit and export options tucked into menus.

Selected objects and the guidance notes now float over the scene rather than taking up a column of their own. The result is a lot more room for the model itself.

Update 5 - Sit in the room, and start over

There is a new view card over the scene holding Plan, 3D and a new In-room view, which puts you at a seated person's eye height looking at the nearest screen — the quickest way to see what the sightline notes are actually describing. Use the arrows to step between seats. Reset view frames the whole room again after you have resized it, and Front squares you up to the screen wall.

The Room tab gains Small, Medium and Large starting sizes, and a Reset model button that puts the whole design back to how it started. It asks first, and undo brings your work back.

Update 4 - See into the room

Walls now fade to a ghost as the camera moves behind them, so the room stays readable from any angle. The fourth wall is drawn for the first time, which also means doors and windows can go on any side.

Update 3 - People, doors and windows

Added scale figures you can place around the room and sit on the chairs, with sightline checks measured from a seated person's eye height. Doors and windows now open up the walls, and a door's swing is checked against the table and chairs.
